Long Wittenham Dining Table

Lula James Woodworking

We are delighted to introduce talented new furniture makers Daisy Brunsdon and Andrew Joye. The inspiration for their first range, The Long Wittenham Dining Table and Bench, was driven by looking at frame structure for functionality to eliminate obstacles and promote sociability which in turn led to the development of an elegant rounded, soft and tactile aesthetic. Made from European oak and finished with Holzöl, a durable natural wax oil that penetrates the wood with a fine wax pigment that sits on the surface. Available to order in other woods.

Lula James Woodworking

Daisy Brunsdon and Andrew Joye both trained at Rycotewood Furniture Centre where they met and after graduating together formed Lula James in 2019. They are based in Oxfordshire at the Sylva Wood Centre workshops and collaborate on private commission-based work.

Lula James are delighted to present their first Long Whittenham range at Derwent House Table Manners. The Long Wittehnham design is inspired by a desire to examine the table frame structure and come up with a design solution to eliminate obstacles, create leg room and promote sociability. The gently curved Oak table top and oak -laminated supporting rails give the Long Wittenham table a clean- lined elegant aesthetic.
