King & Webbon
King and Webbon design and make contemporary furniture using a carefully-selected palate of natural hardwoods for warmth and durability, complemented with innovative materials such as Foresso to bring texture and colour to a stunning furniture collection.
Engineer and skater Andy King founded King & Webbon in 2017. Andy’s passion for woodwork developed as a child while working alongside his Dad, a carpenter of over 50 years. This inspired Andy to change career and train as a furniture maker, with a focus on designing and making furniture that is beautifully crafted and environmentally responsible.
Inspired by great icons like Finn Juhl and Robin Day, and referencing art deco, Danish modern and Japanese aesthetics, King and Webbon’s designs showcase traditional wood working skills alongside modern technology. From sourcing the rough boards at a local timber yard, cutting and planing to discover the beauty of the grain, to finishing with a coat of oil that makes the wood grain explode into life is the lifeblood behind the King & Webbon workshop.
Derwent House are proud to showcase King & Webbon furniture, that is both crisp in its execution but with gently softened details and the use of innovative new materials that spark joy to sight and touch.
