Established in 1987 by Roger Oates and Fay Morgan, Roger Oates Design became renowned for their striking flat woven striped runners. Their story has evolved to encompass a beautiful collection on hand tufted rugs which we have on display at Derwent House.

In partnership with Woolkeepers Ⓡ who support British farmers through an environmentally conscious framework, Roger Oates source the highest quality wool for their rugs, for a fair price and with integrity.

Highly skilled craftspeople make and hand finish cut and loop textures, with varied pile heights for pattern and depth that reflect light in different ways to create an intensity of colour throughout their collections: Forms, Parallel, Revisionist and Vista.
