Green wood is at the heart of Jayne’s practice and the oak for this little footed vessel was sourced freshly cut from a neighbour’s garden. The piece was first turned on a wood-turning lathe in her studio in Brittany, France, then left to dry to achieve its form and reach equilibrium with its environment. The slight asymmetry in the bowl is a result of the drying process. This unique piece has been finished with tung oil for a sustainable and durable finish.
