Pablo Cal-Fernandez

Pablo has created a collection of lathe turned table lamps and wooden bowls made in his workshop in Hertfordshire

With a background including working as a built heritage conservator and a dealer in 20th century decorative arts Pablo decided to develop his practical skills and become a maker in his own right.

He takes his inspiration from a desire to produce bold shapes with clean lines which create impact but don’t dominate, his elegant Sentinel and Arbor lamps are testament to his approach.  The simple bottle table lamps come in a range of primary colours that provide pops of colour. The table lamps are worked in beech or ash and come stained or painted, whilst bowls are turned in rich warm woods like walnut – all wood is sustainably sourced from Kent.

'I get great pleasure from taking a simple material and creating a useful object that looks good and is well made'
