Rani’s professional background in graphic design took her from London to the Cotswolds, later steering her towards exploring different creative disciplines including printing and mixed media work and more recently rediscovering her love for painting. Working mostly in acrylics Rani is fascinated by seeing unexpected beauty in ordinary surfaces which she explores by generating textures and layers in paint and pastels. The ideas and inspiration for her work comes from what she sees around her every day, shadows and shapes one day, colours and patterns another. Producing something interesting from the ordinary is Rani’s creative motivation.
