Bootscraper Stool

In designing the Bootscraper stool the makers set out to address a common problem with wooden bar stools, that the footrest can be easily damaged in use. Instead of the more traditional turned wood stretcher rail they inserted a solid steel bar into mortices and cut into the front legs, reminiscent of a metal bootscraper.

Continuing the slightly industrial feel to the piece, hand-forged nails hold the footrest and crinoline stretcher rail in position which have been driven through the legs and clinched over in the traditional fashion, creating a strength and durability to withstand everyday use in a, busy family house.

The Bootscraper stool is made in ash and finished with matt Fides Hard Wax Oil.
