Based in her studio near Witney, Jessica Parker works building layers of different media including collage pieces (both made and found), ink and acrylic paint into her paintings. She often adds detail using charcoal and pastels to give the appearance of both hard and soft edges within each piece.

Jessica’s varied body of work is inspired by landscape, gathering ideas when out on local walks or from sketches gathered while on holiday. She will always take a sketch book, take photographs, and think of works to best describe the ‘live nature’ of her surroundings. Jessica works with a semi realism tending towards abstraction, experimenting with different media and techniques to place more emphasis on interesting textures and lines that create both space, structure, and distance.
