Hand thrown on a traditional potter’s wheel with fine British stoneware, Emma Lacey’s ceramic breakfast bowl is an exploration of ergonomic shapes, contrasting finishes and tonal shades. The textured satin matt glaze on the exterior of the bowl and practical glossy glaze inside encourages you to reach out, touch and discover the tactility and contours.

The breakfast bowl stems from Emma’s background in sculpture and extensive research into how people interact with objects. Each bowl is dented while the clay is still soft giving a sensual aesthetic and a form that is ergonomic to use.
