A stunning, large-scale artwork by local artist Laura Middleton created in her studio in the Cotswolds. Laura’s plaster impressions capture the structure and movement of willow which is then gilded, patinated and painted thereby celebrating nature as both delicate and precious.

Laura’s artwork is inspired by her passion for nature and ecology and has a keen interest on their influence on our well-being. Her gilded plaster artworks combine her skills developed as a specialist decorator with a painter’s eye. She also paints small abstract landscapes which are drawn from life but also the memory of the immersive aspect of being surrounded by nature.
