Josh Rose draws on a range of disciplines around sculpture, product design and print, investigating the value of surface design though the combined techniques of printmaking and woodwork. His ‘Log Stack’ hand relief prints depict various wood species collected and grown in Oxfordshire from naturally felled trees. The wood types and their arrangements are discovered through woodland walks, celebrating and honouring the unique characteristics of the wood material which have become off cuts of an everyday environment.
